Fourth of July with Palak Paneer and Tandoori Paneer

4th of July is marked as the memorable day in the history of America and generations after generations, Americans have been celebrating this as a National Holiday. The celebration is in form of Speeches, Parade, Fireworks, Barbeques , Picnics etc.

America is blessed with some great leaders who have dedicated their whole life to the country and which makes the Nation great because of which many people throughout the world dream of visiting and residing in America. So what actually is American Dream , to have a United State Citizenship ..To own a house, a car in US or much more to it.. Well the American Dream has originated from the United State Declaration of Independence. It means “We all are Equal”. A strong sentence which cannot be trained. It might take your complete life to understand the actual meaning and exercise it. To treat everybody, “EQUAL” irrespective of your cast, creed, religion, culture, belief, color of skin , social status and stop yourself from typecasting anybody the moment you see them, hear their accent or know about their origin.

It is high time that we stop typecasting people. Modernity does not come from clothes ... how many times have we encountered people asking you --So from which part of India you are ?..A very general question.. The moment you say the name of your State, you are already type casted in their mind. Do you agree with me...Friends, It is high time we realize our attire or higher degree or good corporate position does not define our modernity . It is the way we conduct ourselves in society that defines us. Do I sound preachy..little bit..ok..but I feel it is a serious issue which everyone must think about. It disturbs me.... Does it to you …?

I have always been particularly influenced by Dr Martin Luther King and his famous speech “I have a dream”.. We all have heard it and we all like it. Guys, if you have not read or heard it, please see the original video right now on You Tube here . I have read the famous and the greatest speech in the History of America multiple times and have got immensely inspired by it. It takes out any pessimism within me and I am sure most of you would feel the same . He was one the greatest leader in the history of Mankind because of which America has even declared a national holiday on his birthday . So who says America doesn’t have a history. I am very small to say this but I see the same dream for India when "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement" .

Hmm so enough of talking for the day..Its a food blog and I better talk about a recipe now .. Its US independence day my US counterparts have not come to office. Well that means no late evening meetings and I can rush home early.. That’s my incentive of staying in India J. That means I get some extra time to myself, read two pages extra , catch up with some friends and even managed to watched Bobby Jasoos :D ..Who does not like to come home early on Friday.. Hubby got an off from office as well J. So the dinner has to be special.. Today’s Dinner is Tandoori Paneer Tikka prepared by I followed by Roti and Palak Paneer..

  1. Delicious, thanks for the recipe.
Next time I'll have to spend more time with the onion and tomato as mine ended up too sweet.
