Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth With Some Homemade Luscious Gajar Ka Halwa










Winter is meant for getting into the lap of luxury..Winter is meant for getting into warm blankets..drink hot tea and pampering yourself . One must not always live life counting on calories and enjoy life once in a while.

Its the best time of year when you a woman can take a break from razor. The deep silence in the woods, the stillness in the water, the chilliness of the air and the layering of clothes. Its the time of the year when you can grab enjoy some most fashionable clothes of the West.

Its the time of the year when I can feel the Love in Air . Its the time of the year when cuddling gives you maximum pleasure and a hug can be the warmest.

And it will be injustice if I do not mention the name Carrot Halwa..Winter is the season of fresh long thin red carrots. They are sweet to taste and apt for dessert.. So if you find some in the store, grab them quickly for the 1st halwa of the season..

Bhai ek baar to halwa khana banta hai.. Don't worry about your waistline.. Run some extra kilometers on your treadmill.


What You Need :

4 to 5 cups grated carrot
1 liter whole cream milk
½ cup sugar to 3/4th cup sugar
2 tbsp ghee or clarified butter
3 green cardamom finely crushed
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp cashew nuts
Almonds blanched and peeled for garnishing

Steps To Make :

Heat ghee in a pan.
Add grated carrot and sauté till a nice smell comes out.
Add milk and sugar. Mix well while cooking in low flame.
Cook till milk is completely reduced and carrot is well cooked.
At this stage, add crushed cardamom , raisins and cashew nut.
Mix well and cook for 5 minutes more keep the flame to the lowest.
And Gajar ka halwa is ready to be served.
